Defense experts agree that aerial threats are growing
By: Phil Jasper for the Washington Times
Twice last year, Iran and its proxies launched potentially devastating aerial attacks on Israel and U.S. forces in the Middle East.
Wave after wave of ballistic missiles, attack drones and cruise missiles screamed toward Israeli cities, targeting civilians and military sites alike. In the larger attack, nearly 200 missiles and drones were fired at Israel. In the largest air assault in modern history, almost none reached their targets. Israel’s Iron Dome investment — with U.S. military, financial and technical assistance — prevented incalculable loss both to our ally and U.S. forces at the hands of hostile groups.
